Isabella has graduated to the high chair. She seems pretty happy too. The baby pod was great but she's outgrown it and could take off the feeding tray!
We're going to try some new foods this week.

Thanksgiving at Grandma & Grampa's house

We went for a little road trip to grandma and grandpa Boswell's for Thanksgiving this year. Mike's sister and neice were also there. There was lots of food to be eaten. This year we opted not to wake up and go shopping at 5 in the morning for the after Thanksgiving day sales. There was nothing that we needed that much! We prefferred to have some extra Zzz's

Caitlin made some pilgrim hats to wear.

She dressed as a pilgrim girls and Isabella our little Indian princess.

Pumpkin Patch

We had a family outing to the Pumpkin Patch this weekend. They had lots of pumpkins, rides, pumpkin food and games for all.
Here's our little pumpkin Isabella posing with her Daddy.

Isabella is trying to figure out which pumpkin she wants.

I think she's decided on this one!

7 Months Old!

It's hard to believe our babygirl is already 7 months old. We love her dearly. She's getting pretty good at sitting up. She still wobbles a little bit, but is getting better everyday. She's also mastering the roll, rolling from her belly to her back. She can roll from her back to her belly too, but she'll only do that if she's reaching for something that she can't quite reach on her back.

We bought Isabella a little door jumper gadget.

She's starting to get the hang of it (no pun intended).

This weekend we went to Addison, TX for Oktoberfest. We try to go every year. There's lots of great German food, music, rides, games, arts & crafts and Beer! This year we met up with Todd who is one of Mike's old co-workers and two of his kids. A good time was had by all!

Here the girls took a dip in the fountain. Isabella just laughed and laughed.

Isabella loved taking in all the sights, sounds and smells.

Mike enjoying some German fare - pork chop, sausage, sauerkraut and potato salad, beer, beer, beer. Did I mention the beer?

Isabella checking out the guide and seeing what's on tap for today at Oktoberfest

No, she really didn't get to sample the beer. It's just a neat picture.

Daycare

Well, Isabella started her first full day of daycare yesterday. She did about half a day on Friday when my mom flew home. We got a call from our daycare on Monday saying that they'd had a fire and so they were moving the kids to their other two facilities. Luckily no one was at there at the time. It was very hard for me to leave her at daycare yesterday. I went to see her on my lunch hour and fed her and played with her a bit. She seemed to be okay, but was somewhat miserable by the end of the day. Hopefully it will get better for all of us after the initial transition phase.

Isabella's starting to hold her own bottle. She's pretty co-ordinated.

The latest on the car accident:

I would like to thank everyone for their continued thoughts and prayers! This whole affair has been difficult for me and my family, but we are moving on.... Just in the last two weeks the police incident report came out and answered a number of questions I had about the accident, we settled with the insurance company, purchased/picked-up a new car. Fortunately, I have family that loves me and work that keeps me busy, so I don't dwell on the accident as much.

As for the latest, the family of the deceased woman and young boy are still looking for answers to lingering questions! As of this last Monday, the man that was involved in the head-on collision has not turned himself into police. In fact a recent news story documents this (http://video.nbc5i.com/player/?id=145989)!

I don't know how all this will end, but I do hope justice is served!

It's at times like this that makes you appreciate the loved ones in your life and all that you have. I don't think we do that often enough. We're always so busy trying to get a million and one things done. We need to slow down and truly enjoy life while we can.
We just found out that the little boy in the accident passed away en route to the hospital. The little girl was fine and has been released from the hospital. The police report hasn't come out yet, so we'll have to wait for that info.

Mike was in a car accident on Friday.
He made it out okay.
A car from the on-coming lane collided with the car infront of him.
The lady driving the car infront of him was killed and her two kids were
seriously injured. The kids were care flighted out by helicopter to the hospital.
We haven't heard how they are. Please pray for them.
The guy who caused the accident I don't think was hurt that badly.
He was also care flighted out.

Here's what our car looks like.
